About Libby

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer with over 15 years’ experience working in the NHS. I am also an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) Psychotherapist. I work to the highest of ethical standards set by the HCPC and the BPS, providing you a professional, safe and non-judgemental space.

I place an empathic, relational approach at the heart of the therapy I provide. I am passionate about challenging misconceptions and assumptions associated with mental health 'disorders' and their associated stigma.

I strongly believe that everyone can benefit from psychological support to break out of life-limiting patterns, strengthen resilience and find meaning and value in life. My therapeutic approach is both integrative and collaborative; I select the most suited and effective method of treatment based on each individual’s needs and preferences. For more details on the process of psychological assessment and therapy please click here or contact me for more information here.

I work with adults (16+) who may be suffering with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and relationship and personality difficulties. I also have specialist experience working with long-term health conditions, weight-management and eating-related distress and body-image concerns. I provide an inclusive psychology service, valuing diversity, respectful of differences in race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality and abilities.

I have also lead an accredited training programme for counsellors and sat on interview panels for Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training in London and conduct research that informs my practice, ensuring that I apply recent clinical developments in our work together. My areas of research include eating disorders, in particular Binge Eating Disorder (BED), as well as Introversion and Extroversion.
